Types of Visas for the Netherlands

  1. Airport Transit Visa – Required if you are transferring flights at a Dutch airport.

Required Documents

To apply for a Netherlands visa, you will need to submit:

  • Valid passport with 2 blank pages.
  • Two recent passport-sized color photos.
  • Travel itinerary and reservation details.
  • Proof of travel health insurance (minimum €30,000 coverage).
  • Evidence of ties to your home country (e.g., employment letter, family obligations).
  • Documentation of your trip purpose.
  • Proof of sufficient funds for your stay (e.g., personal bank statement for the past three months).
  • Income Tax Return (ITR) form or Form 16.
  • If applicable, invitation letter, marriage certificate, or other relevant documents.

Application Process

  1. Fill out the Schengen visa application form.
  2. Attach two passport-sized photos.
  3. Provide a valid passport (valid for at least 3 months after the intended stay).
  4. Submit a copy of your passport’s data page.
  5. Attach a leave letter from your employer or no-objection certificate from your school (if a student).
  6. Include proof of medical insurance covering at least €30,000.
  7. Provide a personal cover letter detailing your full travel itinerary.
  8. Include proof of accommodation (hotel bookings, etc.).
  9. Submit financial documents, such as bank statements from the last three months and proof of tax payments.
